The Observatory of Childbirth and Ageing in Portugal – 1st Edition is a project created and developed by PremiValor Consulting. The project that aims to characterize, understand and evaluate tendencies in childbirth and ageing. In addition, the Observatory will also seek to increase social awareness about childbirth and ageing topics and develop initiatives that recognise companies that have policies and programs that promote childbirth and active and healthy ageing.


The Observatory of Childbirth and Ageing in Portugal is based on a countrywide population survey.

It will enable the acquisition of a comprehensive understanding of these two themes in the different regions of the country.

Cost-Benefit Analysis for the construction of the New Central Hospital of Madeira

PremiValor Consulting concluded in November 2018 the report of Cost-Benefit Analysis, related to the construction of the new Central Hospital of Madeira (HCM).

 

The construction project of the new Central Hospital of Madeira follows the needs of improving health care, as well as the inadequacy of existing hospital units to the needs of the population of the Autonomous Region of Madeira.


The Central Hospital of Madeira will be a hospital unit that seeks to meet the current needs of health care, providing the Region with a hospital center with updated technical and technological characteristics, thus contributing to the provision of safe, quality and differentiated hospital care.

The estimated total investment value for the construction of HCM is around 351 million euros and is expected to start operating in 2025.

Observatory of the Waste Management Sector in Portugal – 1st Edition

The Waste Management Sector Observatory is an innovative study in Portugal. It allows to present the structure, organization and operation of the sector as well as to contribute with clear and objective information for companies, official entities, associations and individuals. The study is based on technical work developed along the entire value chain:


- Service Entities
- Industry Associations
- Waste Management Operators
- Waste Generating Entities


This study enabled Portugal to acquire notoriety and visibility with the Waste Sector Observatory, also from other countries in particularly from the PALOP countries, which thus have the opportunity to learn about the work that has been developed in Portugal and which can also be useful to them.

Observatory of Food & Nutrition

The objectives of the 1st edition of the Nutrition and Food Observatory in Portugal were to identify the population's level of knowledge about the causes and consequences of certain food patterns, to evaluate the relationship between the conditions of access to information and the degree of knowledge in each of the regions and in the country as a whole and to provide technically sustained and independent statistical data on Nutrition and Food in Portugal.

Barometer of Security, Data Protection and Privacy

PremiValor Consulting is the company that carries out the study on Security, Data Protection and Privacy in Portugal, already counting with three editions of this study.

 

This project aims to provide qualitative and quantitative information regarding the security feeling in Portugal, giving a more effective perspective on this subject.

Energy Efficiency Barometer

The “Energy Efficiency Barometer Portugal” is a macro-level project that aims mainly to obtain an understanding  of several quantitative and qualitative indicators related to the area of energy efficiency.


It is a study focused on the bunisess sector, comprising companies from mainland Portugal, the Autonomous Region of Madeira and the Autonomous Region of Azores. 


As a way of rewarding and promoting the companies participating in the study, the “Energy Efficiency Awards Portugal” and the “Efficient Company” awards were created by PremiValor Consulting.

The main objective of the study was to evaluate the impact of physical activity on health costs in Portugal and to estimate the VAT revenue for the State considering the current taxation scenario (VAT rate of 23%) versus an alternative scenario Average VAT of 13%).


From a methodological point of view the study comprised a review of the extended literature on the benefits of physical activity in disease prevention and the use of secondary data to estimate the impact of physical activity practice on health costs in Portugal.


In addition, a set of in-depth interviews were carried out with experts recognized in these themes, from which relevant qualitative contributions were collected and with different perspectives.

EDP University Challenge

It's an international competition targeted at university students in Portugal, Brazil and other countries where EDP Renewables is present (Spain, France, Italy and Belgium).

 

It's an annual competition that encourages university students to apply their academic knowledge in a project focusing on a topic related to the EDP Group.

EDP University Challenge takes place in Portugal since 2007.
